In some cases, deep stains and other conditions can damage the padding underneath your carpet fabrics or upholstery. NOVA strongly recommends you do not attempt to repair this type of damage yourself! When wet, especially while covered with fabric, padding can grow mold and mildew that will only make matters worse – and potentially unsafe!

This is where we can help. Simply call NOVA and explain what happened, and what you’re experiencing. We will come to your home or office and determine where the odor lies, and what treatments are needed to clean. Most often, we find that dog odors can be removed from the surface level (though professional cleaning is still recommended), but cat odors usually permeate through to the padding, which involves replacement.

Replacement of the padding is often the only way to remove the odor without doing further damage to the carpet or upholstery. Our team will continue to stand behind our work for any treatments possible, and retreat at no extra charge whenever necessary, but we cannot guarantee removal of some odors. It is best to call us for a free quote and honest assessment as to the best course of action; NOVA will always recommend a cleaning or other service that is best to resolve your issue!
